The Village of Walthill, NE is located within the County of Thurston and within the boundaries of the Omaha Indian Reservation and is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Chief. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Requirements for applicants are: Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification; at least 21 years of age; a US citizen; ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings; possess a valid Nebraska driver's license and good driving record; possess a high school diploma or GED certificate; be of good moral character; no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors or domestic charges. Must be able to obtain all credentials needed to be a supervisor and must be able to maintain certifications. Individual will directly supervise officers, maintain policies and procedures, scheduling, budgeting, patrol, enforce codes, investigate and public relations. A complete background check will be made. Benefits include full family health and dental insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, retirement and uniforms. Walthill, NE is located within the
County of
Thurston and within the boundaries of the Omaha Indian Reservation and is now accepting applications for the position of 1 full-time and one part-time, Police Officer. The schedule for this position will consist mainly of Nights and Weekends.
Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, and be in good physical condition. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 in each eye, with normal hearing in each ear, Applicant must be of sound mental condition, good moral character, able to build trust, and establish & maintain positive community relationships. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record, no felony convictions, certain misdemeanor convictions, or convictions involving moral turpitude. A thorough background investigation will be conducted. Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED. Nebraska State Certification or Federal Law Enforcement Certification preferred but not required.
Compensation: Salary will commensurate with experience. Benefit package may include uniforms, health insurance, sick leave, and paid vacation and more.
